"Arctracer" stayed well away from the chaotic start of the Tall Ships Race in Russell in 2000. On the first leg we were ahead of big schooners "Soren Larsen"and "R. Tucker Thompson" in light wind. We had guests on board from Alaska, Germany, England and Japan and let them help steer and handle sails. We did not win any prizes but had a fun-filled day wih a great hangi afterwards.
